New data will no longer be collected. Google<\/em> Analytics will no longer collect new data from YouTube<\/em> channels after the link between the two services is terminated. YouTube<\/em> Analytics now lets you track the performance of your channel and videos with the latest metrics and reports. The fact is that most of the authors have relied only on this analytics until now, and this suggests to us that Google<\/em> has not been overly vocal when it comes to breaking this connection. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1613158533084{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}” font_family=”Open Sans”]Google<\/em> Analytics stopped collecting data from YouTube<\/em> channel pages on February 1, 2021. Historical data will still be available, but new data will not be tracked. The ability to establish a connection between Google<\/em> Analytics and YouTube<\/em> was removed in November last year. Channels with existing Google<\/em> Analytics connections were able to see the new data until the beginning of this month. <\/span><\/p>\n

YouTube analytics is the only one that offers data from now on<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

YouTube<\/em> creators have always had access to a more complete set of analytics data in<\/span> YouTube<\/em> Studio.<\/a><\/span> The connection of Google<\/em> Analytics with YouTube<\/em> was not necessary, and this option was offered more as a convenience to people who regularly use Google<\/em> Analytics to track other data. From now on, YouTube<\/em> Analytics is the only source for marketers to access the latest information on YouTube<\/em> channels. <\/span><\/p>\n

YouTube analytics at a glance<\/span><\/h2>\n

YouTube<\/em> Analytics can be used to monitor the performance of your channel and videos with the latest metrics and reports. YouTube<\/em> automatically collects data across all channels and videos. It doesn’t work like Google<\/em> Analytics, where site owners have to install tracking code. <\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1613157995808{padding-top: 50px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}” font_family=”Open Sans”]To access data in YouTube<\/em> Analytics, first sign in to YouTube Studio<\/em> , then select Analytics<\/em> in the left navigation menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this section you will see different tabs. Except for the overview tab, each tab is customized to help you see data that is relevant to your goals. <\/span><\/p>\n

Here’s what you need to know about the different cards and the data they contain:<\/span><\/p>\n

Overview<\/strong> : displays key metrics for your channel, such as watch time, views ,<\/em> and subscribers. The 4 reports included in this tab are Most Viewed Videos, Real Time Activity, Latest Videos and Typical Performance. <\/span><\/p>\n

Reach<\/strong> :<\/em> shows the total reach of your content through the number of impressions and clicks. This tab includes reports on traffic source types, top external sources, impressions, and search terms. <\/span><\/p>\n

Engagement<\/strong> : Shows what viewers are watching, represented by<\/em> total minutes watched. This tab includes reports on the most popular videos and playlists. <\/span><\/p>\n

Audience<\/strong> : Shows who is watching your videos, which represents the number of unique viewers, the<\/em> average number of videos viewed per viewer, and the growth or decline of subscribers. This tab includes reports on audience location, demographics, and other channels they’re watching. <\/span><\/p>\n

Revenue<\/strong> : Shows how much money the channel earns from<\/em> monetized videos. This tab is only available to creators in the YouTube<\/em> Partner Program. <\/span><\/p>\n
