The content of posts from accounts you don&#8217;t follow will now appear after you view content from people you follow. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">A new &#8221; <em>Suggested Posts<\/em> &#8221; section appears in the user&#8217;s main feed immediately after the screen that informs you that you have viewed all the posts of the accounts you follow.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1598712069348{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Traditionally, <em>Instagram&#8217;s main feed<\/em> was reserved for content that users chose to follow. The exception, of course, was sponsored posts by advertisers. Now <em>Instagram<\/em> allows organic content in the main <em>Feed<\/em> that users have not opted for.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This update is getting a lot of criticism from <em>Instagram<\/em> users due to the fact that they are getting content in their feeds that they didn&#8217;t ask for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Open Sans';\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Instagram suggested posts ( <em>Suggested Posts<\/em> )<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">After users view all recent content from people they follow, <em>Instagram Feed<\/em> will display a collection of suggested posts. Continuing to scroll will bring users to a list of suggested posts. <em>Instagram<\/em> will endlessly generate new suggested posts, so users can keep scrolling to their heart&#8217;s content. This option is irresistibly reminiscent of Tik Tok where you can also view the content indefinitely.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">Suggested posts in a user&#8217;s main feed will be similar to content they already follow. Suggested posts are designed to collect content similar to your past interests, unlike the <em>Explore<\/em> option, which is more for exploring a wider range of content. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\" data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><em>Instagram<\/em> says: \u201cWhen you scroll through your feed, you may see suggested posts after viewing all the latest posts from accounts you follow. These suggestions are based on posts from accounts like the ones you follow and posts similar to the ones you&#8217;ve liked or saved. &#8220;<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1598711791112{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}&#8221;]<span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">If users are not interested in a particular post, they can send feedback to <em>Instagram<\/em> . Feedback will be reflected in future proposals. Simply tap the three-dot icon that appears at the top of the post and select &#8220;I&#8217;m not interested.&#8221; In addition to an auto-selected selection of organic posts, this new <em>Instagram Feed<\/em> section will also feature ads. Organic content will be limited to photos and videos only. That means no <em>IGTV<\/em> or <em>Instagram Reels<\/em> content.     <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Open Sans';\">The main objections to the new option are that people will be shown content they didn&#8217;t want or potentially find uninteresting. But also that people will spend too much time on <em>Instagram<\/em> . Instagram has a simple answer to these criticisms. Each user will be clearly notified when they have viewed all the content of the account they are following. That way, he will be able to decide if he wants to search for more new content. On the other hand, <em>Instagram<\/em> says that a large number of users continue to search for new interesting content even after reviewing the news of the accounts they follow.
