Of the news coming from Instagram lately, most of them are on the topic of Reels, that is, video content. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">In support of that, the latest news to come is not about Reels but about video content within the Story format. Instagram is continuing its work on the video format, announcing that Stories videos that are shorter than 60 seconds will no longer be split into 15-second segments in the app. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><b>News about Instagram Story videos<\/b><\/span><\/h1>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">As can be seen in this in-app notification, when the Instagram app is updated, there is a notification that the videos in the stories will no longer be divided into segments, which will bring users an even better viewing experience.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1664779984465{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}&#8221; font_family=&#8221;Open Sans&#8221;]<span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">Instagram has tested this option on selected users over the past year, as part of a broader process of integrating various video options, and in line with general engagement trends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">In October 2021, Instagram retired its IGTV brand, as it combined IGTV and videos into one format, while in July 2022, Instagram announced that all uploaded videos shorter than 15 minutes would be published as Reels.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">Consolidating video material within one type of post aims to simplify the application, and will also, ideally, help Instagram get the most out of engagement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">Moving video content to the Reels format, which has proven to be very popular, will give Instagram more video material to insert into users&#8217; feeds.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #333333;\">Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently noted that just over 15% of content in Instagram feeds now comes from people, groups or accounts that users don&#8217;t follow, and its AI recommendations are increasingly adding to the user experience.
