That’s exactly why generic content on a certain topic that may have ranked well, even if it didn’t focus on the user’s search intent, was hit by the May Core Update<\/em> . It’s possible that Google<\/em> is getting better at identifying AI-generated content being used to manipulate rankings, rather than content being used to provide some value. <\/span><\/p>\n

So, focusing on contextual relevance in content, de-emphasizing exact keyword matches (especially their overuse) and providing real value are the keys to success.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s actually quite simple. Ask yourself honestly: Does the content of your web pages provide useful, specific value and does it answer the queries that led the visitor to it?
