It was announced that the new name of the Facebook<\/em> company will be “Meta<\/em> “.<\/span><\/p>\n

Is the name ” Facebook<\/em> ” disappearing?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Facebook<\/em> platform, that is, the application, remains – as do all other Facebook<\/em> brands and identities: Instagram<\/em> , Whatsapp<\/em> , Messenger<\/em> and Oculus<\/em> . It is the next step in the evolution of social technologies, which opens a new chapter for our company. <\/em>“<\/span><\/p>\n

Facebook<\/em> ‘s wider business will now be under the Meta<\/em> brand, with the company separating its operational streams into two segments: <\/span><\/p>\n

  1. ” Family of Apps<\/em> “, which represents Facebook<\/em> as we primarily know it, through Facebook<\/em> , Instagram<\/em> , WhatsApp<\/em> and Messenger<\/em> , and <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. \u201c Reality Labs<\/em> \u201d, which will cover its VR and AR technologies, as well as other technology options in development.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Facebook<\/em> will also change its stock market name from “FB” to “MVRS” on December 1st. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Facebook<\/em> CEO Mark Zuckerberg<\/em> outlined his vision for the new brand:<\/span><\/p>\n

    “From now on, we will be the first metaverse, not Facebook. This means that eventually you won’t need a Facebook account to use our other services. As our new brand begins to appear in our products, I hope people around the world will get to know the Meta brand and the future we stand for. <\/em>“<\/span><\/p>\n

    This can be interpreted as follows: the Facebook<\/em> brand is somewhat tarnished by everything that happened in the previous period and needs a fresh start, while the whole rebranding also gives Zuckerberg<\/em> an opportunity to distance himself from Facebook<\/em> and instead realign his name. with the concept of an evolving metaverse.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1635928553349{padding-top: 30px !important;padding-bottom: 30px !important;}” font_family=”Open Sans”]Although many have already wrongly concluded that “Meta<\/em> ” is probably the new name on Facebook<\/em> , the rebranding is not a big surprise, considering that Zuckerberg<\/em> ‘s humanitarian organizations already own several brand titles associated with the name Meta<\/em> , and also, the company is buying Meta<\/em> URLs for the last few months.<\/span><\/p>\n
